Astroblast weekend was a special live "blockisode" of The Good Night Show made to promote the premiere of Astroblast!. Nina and Star did activities related to the then-new Sprout original show and met the characters, while introducing other shows in the process.

Since this broadcast was live, the set either didn’t exist or was impractical for live airings, so it took place in the Sunshine Barn. Videos of the broadcast were uploaded onto Sprout's YouTube channel.

SCENE 1 Nina and Star greet the Sproutlet viewers, introduce themselves (and Hush), and sing the Welcome Song. Nina explains that, tonight, they're in space, welcoming their new Astroblast! friends, giving her the idea to go on a space adventure tonight. She then teaches the Spanish word for "space" - el espacio, which she invites Star and the Sproutlets to say with her.

Meanwhile, Halley gives the Sproutlets a tour of the Astroblast Space Station, fastly introducing her friends and where they work. Comet complements her, stating that she gave the "quickest space tour yet."

Back in the Sunshine Barn, Nina and Star comment on the action that happened earlier. Nina then tells the Sproutlets to log on to SproutOnline.com if they want to visit the Astroblast! crew anytime.

SCENE It's almost time to visit the Astroblast! gang, but first Nina shares two poems. After the last one, she and Star names the characters in a picture. The duo then decides to look through their Sprout-o-scope and visit Comet.

Comet, who just got back from the Plurpian Plum-Picking Palooza Parade (which he tries and fails at saying ten times fast), shows Nina and Star his Sleep Tight Blankie Compartment and invites them to the Astroblast Space Station.

Notes

  • The links featuring the Astroblast! characters would play during regular episodes for the rest of the show's fifth season. However, by the sixth season, they were replaced by a normal intro from Comet.
  • In this episodes, shows, such as The Berenstain Bears, were introduced via rocketships outside the window.
  • The music accompanying Goodnight Gallery segments, itself a slower, instrumental variant of "Let's Make a Craft," plays for a majority of the links in this episode.
  • Lucy is absent in this episode.
