BarnyardBoogie2011

Barnyard Boogie was a minigame at SproutOnline.com where Sproutlets could upload a photo of their face and crop it onto an animated body and select different dance moves with their favorite Sunny Side Up Show host, often accompanied by farmyard animals, other hosts, and Chica. One Sproutlet's game aired live on TV every morning, with Chica and the day's host dancing along.

The game launched in 2008 and was removed from The Sunny Side Up Show and was no longer available on SproutOnline.com as of 2013, when it was replaced by Sproutlet Stories, another segment with an online game companion. After this, the access to the game was denied. However, it was still mentioned on a page on the website, even after the 2015 facelift.

Objective

Players could upload an image of themselves and crop their head onto an animated body and dance with their favorite host, while choosing the best dance moves.

Notes

  • Barnyard Boogie was also the name of a song by Louis Jordan and His Orchestra, which Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem covered on an episode of The Muppet Show.
  • This game was modified for special events, such as "Dancing With the Dads" (later "Dad's Boogie-Woogie Dance Party") for Father's Day, "Barnyard BOO-Gie" for Halloween, and "Holiday Hoedown" for Christmas.
    • For Dancing with the Dads, a lucky winner would receive a Nintendo and their game would be on TV.
  • If the player were a boy, then he would wear green with overalls, which is what Stitches from The Chica Show wore. If it were a girl, she would wear pink with overalls.
  • When The Chica Show premiered in 2012, Chica's style was changed to match her animated form from said show.
  • "Teddy Bear Picnic," "Party Time," "We Love the Holidays," Ricky's cell phone ringtone in a Preschool Musical blooper, and "Halloween Parade" were heard instrumentally in this game, alongside other songs.
  • In the final segment of Sprout's Wiggly Waffle, in which The Wiggles would interact with Chica and the hosts, the band would ask them if they have any Barnyard Boogie dance moves to share.
