

- Nina and Star greet their Sproutlet friends and sing the Welcome Song. The duo then explains that today they went to a friend's house for a party and give the Sproutlets hints - they donned hats and ate cake - so they went to a birthday party. They tell the Sproutlets that birthdays are special because one turns a year older and gets to have a party with family and friends. Star asks Nina if they'll go on a birthday adventure tonight. Nina approves, and asks the Sproutlets if they’re up for one. She then explains that the Spanish word for birthday is cumpleanos. Star admits he likes playing games at birthday parties, leading to a game of "Nina Says."
- Nina welcomes back the Sproutlets and explains that they're on a birthday adventure tonight. Star adds that birthday means cumpleanos in Spanish. He tells Nina that on his last birthday, he blew out the candles on his cake and made a wish. It's time to look at the Sprout-o-scope, so after "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," tonight's constellation is a birthday present.
- Nina tells a story about a birthday party she had as a kid in which she had colorful icing and everyone wore colorful clothes, which reminds her of a time she, Mami and Papi made a space-themed birthday cake for Chelsea B., leading to a Best Day Ever Book segment.[1]
- Nina turns off a light and welcomes back the Sproutlets. She then explains about tonight's birthday adventure and that birthday means cumpleanos in Spanish. Star is already fast asleep, and Nina hopes he’s dreaming about birthday candles. Now it's time to say goodnight to Hush, so Nina signs his goodnight poem with help from the Sproutlets. She then sings the Goodnight Song as Lucy closes out the episode.
