Bob the Builder is a British children's animated television show created by Keith Chapman. Because both PBS and HiT Entertainment co-owned Sprout when the channel was launched, they aired a variety of shows from both their archive libraries on Sprout, including reruns of Bob the Builder.

History on Sprout

The show premiered on September 26, 2005, along with several other shows, to celebrate the launch of the Sprout network. Before that, they released it on Sprout On Demand. The series was scheduled in ten-minute episodes on the Sprout channel, but three episodes were packaged together when on demand.[2]

The original series aired until January 23, 2015. Alongside it, Project Build It and Ready, Steady, Build! aired.

It aired at 6:30 and 8AM ET when Sprout launched, and later aired at 9AM ET when The Sunny Side Up Show launched, 8:30 during Wiggly Waffle, and 5PM ET during The Sprout Sharing Show, and later at 3:30 ET. It also aired during The Super Sproutlet Show and later the unbranded block at 5PM ET.

The show has a Sprout Diner snack, Bob's Build Me Up Berry Shake, and Greg Proops reprised his role as the titular character, also doing so in various promos. The show got another snack in 2010, "Bob the Builder's Spinach Squares."

The show has a Birthday Show craft, Bob the Builder's Construction-themed party.

The show has several movies such as A Christmas To Remember and Snowed Under: The Bobblesberg Winter Games. They all aired on Sprout. A Christmas To Remember aired on Sprout on Christmas Day in both 2005 and 2007, as well as December 18 and 21, 2007, and on Christmas Eve in 2010. Built to Be Wild aired in 2006 during PBS KIDS Sprout's Big Birthday Surprise.
