Busytown Mysteries, also known as Hurray for Huckle!, is a Canadian animated television series created by Cookie Jar Entertainment. Currently, the series airs in Canada as part of the Kids' CBC block and on the Tiny Pop channel in the United Kingdom. In the United States, the show was originally going to be on Qubo, but it aired as part of the Cookie Jar TV block on CBS instead, and then returned to the United States on Starz.
Plot[]
Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm and their Busytown buddies have fun-filled adventures while trying to find the answers to life's puzzles. Joined by Sally Cat, Hilda Hippo and other familiar faces, the friends travel Busytown in the Apple Car and the Pickle Car looking for new mysteries to solve. Examining the evidence, the pals put their detective skills to work to reunite a lost parrot with its owner, find out why residents of the town have fresh paint on their clothes, and hunt for a monster, among other things. Inspired by the works of author Richard Scarry.
History on Sprout[]
Unlike most shows, Busytown Mysteries was exclusive to Sprout On Demand and the Sprout NOW app. It left around the time Universal Kids launched.
Notes[]
- Richard Scarry's Favorite Storybook Ever, one of the books that inspired the series, was one of the Bedtime Books on The Good Night Show website in 2007.[1]
