California is a state in the Western United States, located along the Pacific Coast. With nearly 39.2 million residents across a total area of approximately 163,696 square miles, it is the most populous U.S. state and the 3rd largest by area. It is also the most populated subnational entity in North America and the 34th most populous in the world.
- A launch party for the Sprout On Demand service was held in San Francisco's Yerba Buena Gardens. Shortly prior, details about the PBS KIDS Sprout brand were unveiled at the National Cable Television Show, also in San Francisco.[1]
