Kaitlin and Chica in the city apartment.

A city apartment was the minuscule location that Chica and the hosts of Sunny Side Up "inhabited" from 2015 to 2017. A replacement for The Sunshine Barn, the apartment included a variety of touch screens, which viewers at the time were using.[1]

The apartment has a staircase used for segments such as "Sit and Sip" and birthday cards. The staircase is home to countless toys, books, arts and crafts, and cushions, amongst other things.

Also in the set is a craft shelf, not unlike the Creation Station in the Sunshine Barn, and an art gallery. Originally, the craft shelf was behind the stairs, but was later moved to the right of the set. The art gallery also contained letters such as "A," "Z," and "S." A touch screen on the center of the set is used for segments such as Sprout Today and birthday wishes, but is otherwise used as the window, showing a backdrop with tall buildings.

Demolition[]

In 2017, the live formatting of Sunny Side Up proved too difficult for crew members to handle, so Sprout House replaced Sunny Side Up, which ended on August 11th, on August 14th. The set of Sprout House was larger, resembling the "tiny house" movement and allowing for more camera angles.
