The Comcast Center, also known as the Comcast Tower, is a skyscraper in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The 58-story, 297-meter (974 ft) tower is the second-tallest building in Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania, as well as the twenty-third tallest building in the United States. Originally called One Pennsylvania Plaza when the building was first announced in 2001, the Comcast Center went through two redesigns before construction began in 2005. Comcast Center was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects for Liberty Property Trust.
Sprout was operated at the Comcast Center from launch in 2005 to 2014, when operations moved to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York,[1] with several programming blocks being filmed there. The Sprout floor featured awards received by the network and a variety of old Sprout props on display, including the original version of The Moonbeam Wheel and Melanie's chair (and later the original moon chair) surrounded by Sprout character plush toys. The Sunny Side Up Show, the fourth to sixth seasons of The Good Night Show, and The Chica Show were filmed on the 24th floor, where Center City Film & Video was also operated. Originally, Sprout was operated down the street at 2000 Market Street, as the team couldn't fit in the main Comcast building.[2] By 2012, 85-90 people worked at Sprout and could all fit on the floor.[3]
