On The Good Night Show, Melanie or Nina (usually accompanied by Star) would teach Sproutlet viewers how to make a craft, and encouraged them to submit a photo of it at SproutOnline.com that might be on TV. In the fourth season, Nina and Star would tell stories using the crafts they made earlier.
Each craft segment opened with "Let's Make a Craft" in the original and the Craft Song in the revival . Every craft was available on SproutOnline.com with materials and instructions.
The craft segments were dropped in 2011 for the fourth season, which saw the introduction of the Sprout a Sandy Story segments.
According to Andrew Beecham, craft segments were shot every month.[1]

Notes
- The pictures of Melanie in the craft PDFs were removed once Melanie Martinez was fired (see: Firing of Melanie Martinez), with the crafts from the first season of the original Good Night Show remaining on SproutOnline.com for a few more years and most of the crafts in the second season and two in the first being remade with Nina in the first season of the reboot.
- Craft segments were called "Lets [sic] Make a Craft" in slates, the unofficial name of the original craft song.
