Meet Curtis

Curtis, Patty, Chica, and Chica's Mom in the Sunshine Barn.
Curtis E. Owl was a beatnik owl who was the bassist of the Sprout House Band on The Sprout Sharing Show. Wearing a blue striped sweater and sunglasses, Curtis was the oldest of the trio and played the stand-up bass, which he would whistle for. He sang songs such as "The Can't Share Blues."
Notes
- His name was a play on the word "courtesy."
- Since the Sharing Show puppets' mouths don't move despite the ability to talk, his beak didn't and he always kept his sunglasses on.
- Curtis' sunglasses and bass were features in My Little Sproutlet.
- Curtis has appeared on The Sunny Side Up Show several times - once playing hide and seek with Sean and Chica,[1] singing "I've Been Working on the Railroad" with Chica, Kelly, and Carly, and appearing at Dennisha's baby shower with Patty and Mrs. C.[2]
- He was the only member of the Sprout House Band with a middle and last name.[3]
