SCENE 1 | Star, who and Nina notice that the Sproutlet viewers have just arrived, welcomes them to The You and Me Tree, leading to a rendition of the Welcome Song. Nina tells the Sproutlets that before they got here, she and Star were talking about their favorite things - they both have the same favorite dinosaur, a stegosaurus, but they have a different favorite color, which Star points out - his is yellow, while Nina's is purple - and asks if they can still be friends. Nina says yes, and explains that differences make everyone special in their own way, and if everyone liked the same things, the world wouldn't be interesting. She takes snowflakes as an example, stating that every one of them is different, as well as every Sproutlet, leading to a poem. Afterwards, Nina asks Star if he'd like to go on a differences adventure tonight, and he agrees. They start by learning the Spanish word for "differences," diferente. |

SCENE 2 | Nina welcomes back the Sproutlets and announces tonight's adventure is about differences, or in Spanish, diferente. She then points out that every star is also different. Star wonders what shapes the stars are making tonight, and Nina tells him that the only way to find out is by looking through the Sprout-o-scope. After "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," tonight's constellations are three stars and a snowflake. |

SCENE 3 | Nina welcomes back the Sproutlets and tells them a little about tonight, including the term for "pen pal" in Spanish being amigo por correo. She then explains that she and Kelly would always write letters back and forth to one another, telling each other about their day and their adventures, while she would right to her about her abuelita and each stretch they did together, which Kelly would sometimes try herself. Suddenly, some Sproutlets call her, asking her to come outside for a Sprout stretch, which she goes down to the Goodnight Garden to do.
Nina teaches her Sproutlet friends a box stretch, in which they make themselves square like a box by getting down on their hands and knees and tucking their heads down. |

SCENE 5 | Nina and Star welcome back the Sproutlets, explaining that tonight's adventure is about pen pals, or in Spanish, amigo por correo. The former adds that tonight, Star received a letter in the mail from Kabir, his own pen pal. Star explains that whenever Kabir writes to him, he writes back, and encourages the Sproutlets to help him. They use some papel (paper) and a làpiz (pencil) to write with, and Star gets the idea to write a poem using Spanish words, which Nina tells the Sproutlets about. Afterwards, Nina presents the sign for "pen pal," taking one finger, flipping it over to her other hand and flipping back, and encourages the Sproutlets to do the same. |

SCENE 6 | Nina and Star welcome back the Sproutlets, explaining that they're on a "differences," or diferente, adventure tonight. The former explains that, as a kid, she and her friends - Chelsea B. and Carlos - were a little different from one another, but were still friends, and describes what the other two looked like. Star points out that he has yellow fur and stars in his hair, while Teddy has brown hair and a nose. Nina explains that Carlos didn't always like trying new things or going new places, but she was always there for him until he was confident enough to try. Star tells Nina how good of a friend she is and Nina tells him that Carlos and Chelsea were good friends as well, which reminds her of a story in the Best Day Ever book, in which the Sproutlets help Nina and Star make tacos with tuna fish wrap-up for Chelsea, who will be coming over for lunch. |

SCENE 8 | Nina and Star welcome back the Sproutlets and explain that they're on a differences, or diferente, adventure. The former explains that there are many ways people can be different - they can have different hair, skin colors, or glasses, which Star points out his Aunt Luna has. Nina says she knows a story about someone who looked a little different, which she tells as a sandy story. In tonight's tale, Lulu does everything with her grandfather, from playing basketball to apple picking, but when he gets a wheelchair, he reassures her that they can still do the things they usually do together, even if everything is different. |

SCENE 9 | After Nina tells the Sproutlets about tonight's differences adventure, she feeds Hush, with Star offering her the fish food. Next, it's time to clean up the You and Me Tree, which they do through song.
Afterwards, Nina tells Star that it's time for him to brush his teeth and wash his face, but he refuses, saying that he's going to do something different in honor of their differences adventure - stay up all night, or maybe just half the night. After Nina looks at him, he comes to the conclusion that he has to get ready for bed, leading to "Ready for Bed." After that, Star is all set for bed, but he tells Nina that he has time for one more thing - playing with her. She tells him that it's really time for him to go to sleep, for he's had a busy day today. After hearing these words, he drifts off to sleep. |

SCENE 10 | Nina turns off a light and welcomes the Sproutlets back, explaining what happened, then points out Star is already sleeping, wondering if he's dreaming different things that make him special. Now it's time to say goodnight to Hush, so Nina signs his goodnight poem with help from the Sproutlets. She then sings the "Goodnight Song" as Lucy closes out the episode. |
