SCENE 1 | After the "Welcome Song," Nina and Star hear a sound, which the latter thinks is a giant basketball going through a miniature net, but is actually the Goodnight Bell. Nina reaches into her basket and pulls out a book with a question mark on the cover, which she reads. The book contains a joke - what do you call a funny book about eggs? A "yolk" book. This leads Star to ask if tonight's adventure is about breakfast, but Nina tells him she was actually reading a riddle, which is one part of the adventure. She flips to the other side of the book, which contains a variation of the "roses are red, violets are blue" poem. Upon hearing it, Star comes to the conclusion that tonight's adventure is about riddles and rhymes. Nina then teaches him the first thing, the Spanish word for "riddle," adivinaza, which she invites him and the Sproutlets to say with her. |

SCENE 2 | Nina welcomes back the Sproutlets and Star explains that tonight's adventure is about riddles and rhymes, or adivinaza for the former. The former breaks it that a riddle is like a little puzzle and proceeds to give one - I have a face and hands, but I'm not a person. The answer turns out to be a clock. Star then requests she say a rhyme, and she says one about a dog sitting on a log. Star points out that with riddles are different from rhymes because with them, something has to be figured out. Nina tells him that, while riddles are tricky, they can also make one laugh. Star admits he knows something else that's fun to do - looking through the Sprout-o-scope and, after singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," look at tonight's constellation - a question mark. |

She asks the Sproutlets if they're ready to do a Sprout stretch, which she goes out into the Goodnight Garden to do.
Nina and her Sproutlet friends pay tribute to Hush by doing Hush's Swim Stretch, in which they pretend to swim and eat fish food. |

SCENE 9 | Nina welcomes back the Sproutlets, explaining that tonight's adventure is about rhymes and riddles, or adivinaza, leading to a poem about her riddles making Star giggle and tickling in his brain, which he points out is true. He wonders if Lucy was tickled by her poem, too, and speaking of Lucy, it's time for her to present Sproutlets' crafts and drawings in the Goodnight Gallery, which Lucy shows. Tara, 7, of Davis, California draws the Goodnight Garden set, complete with Nina and Star on the moon chair, Sonoma, 6, of Lawrence, Kansas draws Kipper, and Nicole, 5, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania shows things she does to be healthy. |

SCENE 11 | It's nearly time for bed, and Nina and Star tell the Sproutlets that they hope they've had fun with them tonight. They explain that tonight's adventure was about riddles and rhymes, and that the Spanish word for "riddle" is adivinaza, but Nina reminds Star that it's time now to take care of some unfinished business - not tell more riddles, like ones about dull pickles and butterflies doing math in school, but brush his teeth and wash his face, leading to "Ready for Bed."
Afterwards, Nina tells Star that he's all cleaned up and ready for bed, and he admits that he thinks the singing helps. He also tells her that he's going to dream about the fun things they did tonight. |
