SCENE 1 | Nina greets the Sproutlets at home, welcomes them to The You and Me Tree, and explains that Star just opened a new toothbrush he got in the mail. Star also says there's a note, which Nina reads - it's from his Aunt Luna. Star declares this the most Sprout-tastic gift ever, which gives Nina the idea to go on a Gift Giving Adventure tonight, leading to a rendition of the "Welcome Song." Nina tells Star that now would be the time to say thank you to Aunt Luna, be it by phone or card. Star asks why, and Nina says that when one receives a gift, it's important to thank the giver for their thoughtfulness. He then decides to write a thank you note, with Nina writing down what he wants to say (and his name). After that, Nina explains that the Spanish word for gift is regalo, which she invites Star and the Sproutlets to say with her. Nina and Star then tell the Sproutlets that birthdays and holidays are the perfect times for giving gifts, but the former thinks that sometimes it's even more fun to give someone a gift just because they're your amigo, which makes them feel happy. Star says that he wants to make his friend happy with a gift, maybe a sparkle butter and jelly sandwich, but Nina says that when one want to give a gift, it's nice to think about what the friend would like. Star then gets an idea, but it's a surprise, and he runs off. In the meantime, Nina shows the Sproutlets how to sign the word "gift." Star is back - he made a macaroni and jewelry friendship bracelet for Nina, who thanks him. |

SCENE 2 | Now it's time to play Lucy Light the Way. Based on clues (balloons, presents, cake, and hats), Nina and Star guess Lucy is at a birthday party. Star says he loves going to parties such as birthday parties, holiday parties, and pool parties, and Nina replies by thinking of every night in the You and Me Tree as a party, to which he agrees. After saying regalo again, Nina decides to look up at the stars through the Sprout-o-scope. After singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," tonight's constellations are a telephone and a bow. Afterwards, the duo hears a familiar squeaking sound and decides to visit Chica. |

SCENE 3 | In Star Talks, Star is now in The Goodnight Garden talking to Sproutlets about giving and receiving gifts. Nina once again tells the Sproutlets that gift in Spanish is regalo, and invites them to say it with her. She lists ways to thank people, such as making a card, calling them on the phone, picking flowers, giving them a hug, or just saying "thank you" or gracias. She then hears her Sproutlet friends calling her down for a Sprout stretch. Tonight, Nina and her Sproutlet friends do a stretch called "the Gift Circle." |

SCENE 4 | Nina tells the Sproutlets that spending her good night with them is like a gift. Star tells her he loves gifts - you get to open and play with them. Nina says that getting gifts is pretty exciting, but giving a gift to a friend can also be exciting, and tells Star she has a "sandy" gift for him right now. Tonight's Sandy Story is about a bunny named Babs who loves carrots, but has so many that she has to place them in, on, and around different places on a tree, and later gives them to other bunnies, and they all lived "hoppily" ever after. Now it's time to feed Hush and then clean up the You and Me Tree through song. |
