The "Goodnight Song" is usually the final song to close The Good Night Show. It is sung by Melanie after she says goodnight to Hush, and sings to the Sproutlet viewers about what they'll do in their dreams and tomorrow, before tuning in herself. Leo didn't sing this when he hosted in 2006, but rather another closing song.
When Nina joined the show, she sang the song again shortly after Star sacked out. She also said goodnight to Hush and tuned in after the song.
When the block moved to the You and Me Tree in 2011 for Season 4, Nina didn't tune in, let alone sleep, and rather sat on the swing chair and looked out at the green flower-shaped window. Outside the window, Lucy winked out the viewers as she flew away, and the box from the opening closed. The box closing was scrubbed in 2015 for Sprout's tenth anniversary rebranding, theme breaking from the original.
The same lyrics were used for the "Welcome Song," and, in the third and sixth seasons, the theme song. According to Tim Burns, this intro's style was inspired by The Beatles.
