- "That's me!"
- ―Jay Jay in the show's intro.
Jay Jay is the main protagonist of Jay Jay the Jet Plane. He is voiced by the late Mary Kay Bergman in the first two seasons and Debi Derryberry (under the name Dee Dee Green) in the third season after Bergman's passing who also did the voice of Revvin' Evan, Herky, and Savannah in the same show.
Biography[]
Jay Jay is just the right combination of unquenchable curiosity and high-octane energy. He gets excited about new things and there is never a dull moment with Jay Jay. It is nothing spirited about this young plane (about 6 years old in human terms and is in first grade). He's as playful, fun-loving, likable, friendly, and outgoing as a kid can be. When it comes to friendships, Jay Jay is true blue. According to the "Concert Day at Tarrytown Airport" song, "Absolutely Blue", Jay Jay reveals that when he was a baby jet, he said that he wanted to be blue when the adults ask him what color he wanted to be.
