Kipper the Dog is an orange dog who is the main protagonist of the Kipper series. He comes from London, like many of his animal friends. Kipper appears to be a mix of a beagle, a Jack Russel terrier, a Labrador and a golden retriever. He is the youngest member of the group and he speaks and whispers in a soft English-accented voice. He is voiced by Martin Clunes.

He is a warm-hearted dog with a light soft English-accented voice. His best dog friend is Tiger and his other animal friends are Jake, Pig, and Arnold. His catchphrase is "You're so clever!" He also has many adventures with his animal friends. He loves to play at the top of Big Hill and feed the ducks at the duck pond. He loves to eat food such as cornflakes and biscuits.
