Leo was a gardener who was the temporary host on The Good Night Show in 2006. He looked after the Goodnight Garden and kept a firefly named Lucy in his pocket. Leo interacted with Star, planted trees, showed Sproutlets' artwork, and sang songs.
After his tenure as host, Leo continued to appear as a recurring character alongside Nina in the third season.[1]
Description[]
Leo is a calm, smart gardener who knows a lot about plants and seeds. He likes to make up his own versions of classic songs, often changing the lyrics to include a bedtime theme, such as "Old MacDonald Had to Sleep" and "The Bedtime Hokey Pokey." The Sprout Press Room listed Leo as one of Nina's friends.
Appearance[]
Leo wears a gray vest with a pattern of black stars on each side. His vest has a pocket on the bottom left side, where Lucy sleeps. Leo also wears blue-and-white striped pajama pants, a light red pajama shirt with maroon sleeves, gray socks, and black foam shoes. He has a handkerchief pinned on one side of his pants.
Appearances[]
Leo hosted 24 episodes,[2] which aired nightly from September 11, 2006 until December 17, 2006. After this, he made additional appearances in several episodes of the third season.
Notes[]
- Leo's actor, Noel MacNeal, was the director for the first season of The Good Night Show.[3] He directed Melanie the Babysitter's episodes before appearing as Leo.
