Let's Move was an on-air service launched by then-current first lady Michelle Obama in 2010, responding to the childhood obesity pandemic. In 2012, Obama partnered with Sprout and LazyTown for on-air, online, on-demand programs, and three PSAs featuring Obama, Sportacus, and Chica to teach children values of healthy living, with the Kindness Counts initiative providing overall framework. The PSAs premiered on the Sprout channel on July 23rd and NBC Kids on the 28th.
Additionally, Let's Move, Sprout, and Brita partnered for several commercials the same year.
Notes
- While most of the PSAs were filmed in The White House, "Remember Play" was filmed in Center Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland, designed by Mahan Rykiel.
