When The Sunny Side Up Show, PBS KIDS Sprout's first and only live programming block, premiered in 2007 for the network's second anniversary, press releases promised appearances from characters from its shows and blocks, such as the Sesame Street characters like Big Bird or Nina from The Good Night Show, as performed by Michele Lepe, whose first appearance was for Sprout's Halloween Spooktacular. She was also a guest host for Sprout's Thanksgiving Party, appearing with Barney in his first Sunny Side Up Show appearance, Saint Patrick's Day, appearing with Hush, Hooray for Mother's Day, and the premiere of the third season in 2009, and filled in for Dennisha when she was on maternity leave in 2011. Other times, she appeared by herself or with Star on days with the usual hosts.
