Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the original home of Sprout. Until 2014, several of the network's productions were filmed at the Comcast Center, and until 2008, the Sprout channel was headquartered at 2000 Market Street to better accommodate the small crew. Additionally, Sprout representatives partnered with daycare centers and preschools in the city to inform both the channel's programming strategy and strategy as a whole.
Appearances and Events
- A Sprout launch party was held in the Hamilton Gardens at the Kimmel Center in 2005.
- Sprout and Comcast sponsored the Arden Theatre Company's productions of "A Year with Frog and Toad" in 2009[1] and "The Flea and the Professor" in 2011.[2]
- In 2009, Kevin and Chica filmed an on-location segment at Citizens Bank Park.
- The hosts of The Sunny Side Up Show have often visited the Please Touch Museum.
- Kelly and Chica appeared at the Comcast Center's KidsInCenterCity event in 2010.
