- SCENE 1 - Nina and Star greet the Sproutlets at home and explain that tonight, they're going on a Rain and Rainbows adventure. The duo then hears lightning, which also means they'll hear thunder and rain. Nina proclaims the start of their Rain and Rainbows adventure, leading to a rendition of "The Welcome Song." Once Nina asks the Sproutlets if they're ready for their Rain and Rainbows adventure, lightning strikes again. Star concedes that thunder was loud, and explains that he doesn't like lightning rainstorms. Nina tells him rainstorms are needed because flowers, trees, and plants need water and rain is nature's way of keeping their earth clean and beautiful. Star worries it's going to make everything wet. Nina replies saying rain can be a good thing - one can go outside with an umbrella wearing clothes like boots, a coat, or hat, which she tries on Star. Nina admits she likes to stay inside, snuggling up with her cozy blanket and listening to the sound of thunder. This makes Star excited for the rain, and thinks rainy nights are fun. Nina then explains that the word for rain in Spanish is lluvia, which she invites Star and the Sproutlets to say with her.
- Star talks to Spoutlets [sic] about rain, rainbows and leprechauns!
