Shop Sprout is a website that launched in 2013 as a joint venture between Sprout and CafePress, a separate website from SproutOnline.com. The shop was created to satisfy parents who had been requesting merchandise since the brand's launch.
History
In February 2013,[1] Sprout signed its first merchandising agreement with the online marketplace CafePress.[2] At that time, only themed T-shirts, water bottles, tote bags, and notebooks with the Sprout logo were sold on the website. Later on, the website started to include merchandise based on shows such as The Chica Show, Justin Time, The Good Night Show, Caillou, Nina's World, Terrific Trucks, and Pajanimals. Like SproutOnline.com, the website's background changed to reflect winter and fall.
When the Sprout channel closed in 2017 and Universal Kids was introduced, the site redirected to "Shop Universal Kids." As of 2021, the website still includes shows that have long departed from the channel, including Caillou and The Wiggles. Although the website is currently called "Shop Universal Kids," the Shopsprout.com domain currently remains the same.
