Sprout's Special Valentine Delivery was an online and on-air Valentine's Day event hosted by Sprout in both 2007 and 2008. In the former year, the event kicked off Season 2 of The Many Adventures of Mr. Mailman.[1] Also during this event, from 6AM to 6PM ET, Mr. Mailman would deliver on-air wishes from Sprout characters such as Barney, The Hoobs, Elmo, Caillou, and the Teletubbies. Sproutlets and grown-up Sprouts. could also send in their own wishes via virtual cards. Sprout's marketing team engaged with BuzzLogic-identified influencers to secure several positive mentions of the Valentine's effort, and other, similar programs designed to create an active viewing experience.[2]

In the latter year, Sprout encouraged viewers to send in messages for loved ones at SproutOnline.com that would be on TV via bottom-of-the-screen scroll. Prairie Dawn also guested on The Sunny Side Up Show, taking phone calls from viewers with Kelly and Chica. 16,000 phone calls and 11,000 e-mails were received that day.[3]
