Sprout House (later Snug's House) is an interstitial series on Sprout, and introduced a month before the channel became a block on Universal Kids. The series replaced Sunny Side Up because the crew couldn't handle the live format, a constant for almost ten years. Sprout House was pre-recorded (although only broadcast live on occasions), and its set was made to resemble a "tiny house" movement.[1]
Sprout House became Snug's House in 2018, since the Sprout name was gone completely from Universal Kids, leaving one of the only traces of Sprout left the sprout-shaped window on the set. The show's logo was featured on videos of Sunny Side Up on YouTube.
Plot[]
Carly, Snug, and TJ make crafts and recipes, tell stories, play games, and sing songs with their Sproutlet friends and celebrity guests, which included The Wiggles, The Lucky Band, The Laurie Berkner Band, Moona Luna, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, Lucy Kalantari & the Jazz Cats, Tim and the Space Cadets, Jazzy Ash & the Leaping Lizards, Savannah Guthrie, Allison Oppenheim, Nicole Stott, Jimmy Fallon, Isla Fisher, Hoda Kotb, Dolly Parton, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush. Chica also appears in segments about going to preschool.
