Sprout Smart Commercial (2007)
Commercial for the initiative, featuring Marti Amado's "Brand New Day."
Sprout Smart was a promotion launched by Sprout, KidsHealth, and Mott's for Tots in January 2008. Sprout has always been about nutritious and active lifestyles from its inception in 2005, and took part in promoting healthy and active lifestyles.[1] Each month on the Sprout Smart website, a different health-related theme was talked about (i.e. "The ABCs of Getting ZZZs.") in Healthy Living and Nutrition PSAs, with the theme in the initiative's first year being healthy eating. PSAs started airing on the Sprout channel on January 17th, eventually running on other cable networks, and Sprout On Demand on February 15th. Additionally, they were available on the main SproutOnline.com site for some time.
Additionally, Sprout would develop an integrated informational program with KidsHealth to reach parents through physician offices and children's hospitals.[2]
Notes
- Despite the promotion launching in January 2008, the "Sprout Smart" trademark was filed on October 25th, 2006, suggesting it was to be launched then.
- A family who responded to a survey on the Sprout Smart website would receive a child’s tableware set with a bowl and lid, juice cup, fork, and spoon.
