One thing Sprout is remembered for is the people who hosted its programming blocks as well as side projects. These hosts, generally assisted by puppet characters, teach preschool concepts, make crafts, read birthday wishes, and introduce programs. According to Andrew Beecham, Sprout received a lot of positive feedback about the hosts, the lines to meet them when they visited neighborhoods stretched clear around the block.[1]
