Self-Esteem

The More You Know is a series of public service announcements broadcast on the NBC family of channels in the United States and other locations, featuring educational messages. These PSAs are broadcast occasionally during NBC's network programming. The spots feature personalities from many an NBC show, as well as other notable figures such as U.S. Presidents. It replaced NBC Kids in 2016.

Sprout and The More You Know

When NBCUniversal acquired Sprout, which became a part of the NBC family in 2013, The More You Know PSAs featuring Sprout talent and characters also made to promote Kindness Counts were produced and aired on the channel. Kelly Peterson directed live-action and animation and did the storyboards and post production management for all of them.

  • Self-Esteem - Comet from Astroblast! materializes Halley, Sputnik, Jet, Sal, Radar, assorted aliens, Nina, Chica, Carly, Tim, Kaitlin and Emily for a selfie. Halley explains to Comet that everyone is different - no matter if they're tall or short, have curly hair, have glasses, speak Spanish, or a chicken. That's something to smile about!
  • Environment - Nina looks up at the moon through the Sprout-o-scope and explains to the Sproutlets that they can depend on the Earth's materials every day. Edited by Tim Hauenstein.
  • Digital Literacy - Carly and Chica are outside, and while Chica draws a picture with the Sprout Pad, Carly explains that one can use technology for anything, especially when curious.

In addition, Dennisha Pratt, Carly Ciarrocchi, Tim Kubart, Kaitlin Becker, Emily Borromeo, and Michele Lepe have appeared in The More You Know PSAs.
