Bean and Sportacus


The Super Sproutlet Show was a programming block created by Sprout and LazyTown. It aired daily from 2PM to 4PM ET in the timeslot formerly occupied by the last hour of the Daytime block and the first hour of The Sprout Sharing Show, in 2012. The block was later moved to weekday mornings from 7AM to 9AM ET the next year after Sprout's Wiggly Waffle dissolved.
Premise
- "The Super Sproutlet Show is an entertaining, interactive 2-hour programming block designed to celebrate real preschoolers and their families' active routines and lifestyles. The block features Sportacus and is co-hosted by Bean, Sprout’s newest original character, who bikes across the country with her "Bean Pod" finding everyday sproutlets who are being active and good to the Earth." Cast
- Bean (performed by Chloe Lang) is a 12-year-old superhero in training who seeks out Sproutlets who are living healthy lifestyles.
- Sportacus (performed by Magnus Scheving) is a character from LazyTown. He is a superhero who flies his airship over towns across the country to find kids who are being active and good to the Earth.
- Mayor Meanswell is the Mayor of LazyTown, and Stephanie's uncle. Bean often checks in with him.

Notes
- The show was filmed in Havertown, Pennsylvania and shot in November 2011, two months ahead of premiere.
- This block was created by Magnus Scheving, creator of LazyTown and the actor of Sportacus.
- The block got its own app based on the Super Gear Adventure online game.
- To promote the block's premiere, Sprout held a Sports Candy Cook Off contest and Bean appeared on The Sunny Side Up Show. In addition, "Super Sproutlets" was the weekly theme on Sunny the previous week.
- After the block dissolved and SproutOnline.com received a facelift, both in 2015, a picture of Bean and Sportacus was used as the icon for LazyTown.
