The Three Friends and Jerry (Swedish: De tre vännerna och Jerry) is a Swedish-German-British animated television series. Because HiT Entertainment co-owned Sprout when the channel was launched, it aired a variety of shows from its archive library on Sprout, including reruns of Three Friends and Jerry.[1]
History on Sprout
The show never aired on the linear channel, but select episodes were still featured on Sprout On Demand under the "Children's Favorites" label and it was listed on Sproutletsgrow.com. However, the show did not hold up well since it was not for preschoolers at all.
The show was criticized for its child-unfriendly content, including sexual references, racial stereotypes, illegal and morally questionable actions that children might see as fun to imitate, and offensive language (one episode had the kids get in trouble for swearing), and was one of many to be eliminated from Sprout sometime in early-mid 2006.
