Time to Create were videos featured on the Sprout Diner website at SproutOnline.com and in an iTunes podcast. These segments, only used in the first batch of episodes, featured Sproutlets and grown-up Sprouts making a recipe made in the previous animated segment, using online recipe pages and often accompanied by footage of the character the recipe was based on. The segments moved exclusively to Sprout On Demand once the second season premiered on March 16th, 2007.[1]

Logline

"Nothing could be finer than creating yummy dishes from the Diner… at home! These three-minute pieces feature pre-schoolers and their families whipping up recipes from Sprout Diner in their own kitchens. Sprout diner favorites Brussel, Bean and Alfalfa will be there to observe and guide along the way as we see families create their very own Diner treats such as Noddy’s Apple Car Delight and Barney’s Purple Hummus Dip! The segments end with an invitation to visit the Sprout Diner everyday on the PBS KIDS Sprout digital cable channel as well as online at SproutOnline.com where it is always Time to Create! PBS KIDS Sprout is the first and only 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, On Demand, and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers.
