Twitter was an American microblogging and social networking service on which users could post and interact with messages known as "tweets." Founded by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams in 2007, with the site launching a year prior on March 21st, 2006, Twitter, Inc. was based in San Francisco, California, and has more than 25 offices around the world. In 2023, the site was renamed to X.
Sprout launched a Twitter account in 2009, originally known as @KenSproutDad before changing its username to @SproutTV less than a year later in February 2010, being run by online community team Shannon Carmody and Melissa Myers.[1] Another username change occurred on August 19th, 2013 when the account became known as @SproutChannel. The account closed down with Sprout in 2017, although its tweets are still up on Universal Kids' account.
