WildBrain, formerly DHX Media until 2019, is a Canadian media production, distribution, and broadcasting company. Formed in 2006 by the merger of Decode Entertainment and the Halifax Film Company, the company is the largest independent owner of children's television in the industry. Most of their shows are from predecessor companies (AKA companies they bought out), such as Cookie Jar Entertainment, DiC Entertainment, the aforementioned Decode Entertainment, and Studio B Productions. The company is most well-known as the distributor of the likes of Caillou, Teletubbies, Peanuts, Inspector Gadget, and Degrassi.
On September 23, 2019, DHX Media was renamed WildBrain (a name originally associated with WildBrain Entertainment, a company they acquired in 2010), while renaming its multi-channel network to WildBrain Spark, which serves clips and full episodes of its own programming as well as third-party brands such as Larva, Horrid Henry, and Ben 10.
Even though WildBrain wasn't one of Sprout's four founders, it produced and/or distributed many shows that aired on the channel.
